The history of this shoe reaches back to the ’70s. Cortez model was created by company cofounder Bill Bowerman. As an Olympian trainer he did his best for them to score better and better results. He wouldn’t back down, and as the first, at home after hours he would search for a way to create an uniform sole, in which he succeeded! Thanks to combining two foams Nike Cortez obtained uniform sole, which gave unique comfort to the runners. The model was presented in 1972 just before Olympic Games in Munich. After successes of the athletes sale reached its top, which sealed the company's position on the market.
